Around 10% of local value added service providers failed in inspection (measure the service quality of the providers) by China's MII (Chinese Ministry of Information Industry). 45 would be rechecked and could imply that the service provider's license could be canceled.

Sprint Nextel said it will launch a mobile WiMAX network due to cover millions of subscribers by the end of 2008. It will invest some $3bn in WiMAX technology ($1bn in 2007 and $2bn in 2008).
