Microsoft push towards unified comms

Microsoft is working on advanced unified communications. Teaming with Siemens, they will integrate Microsoft Exchange Server and MS Office Live Communications Server with Siemens' HiPath 8000 softswitch. Teaming with Motrola, they will inegrate Office Communications Server 2007 and Office Communicator Mobile with Motorola' s MotoPro Mobility Suite and Wireless Services Manager (WSM) products and mobile devices, such as HC700 series and Q smartphone. Teaming with HP, they will inegrate Microsoft's unified communications platform with HP devices, as well as using HP' s systems integration services. On the device side, Microsoft signed deals with Polycom, LG-Nortel. and Thomson Telecom for devices such as business IPphones, PCs and PC peripherals.
