Welcome GEMALTO

Gemalto is born from the combination of two smart card leaders, Gemplus and Axalto. The EU Commission has cleared the merging process, and the new company will have about € 1.8bn in turnover, of which 61% in telecoms. Gemalto will be incorporated in the Netherlands, and Olivier Piou will be its CEO. With a workforce of 11,000 people worldwide, Gemalto will be present in more than 50 countries.
