CDMA in LATAM: The CDMA Development Group (CDG) claims CDMA 2000 continues to be the leading 3G technology in LATAM. There are 31 CDMA2000 operators in 18 countries throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. 6 1xEV-DO networks are in commercial service and 6 more are in deployment, i.e. VIVO in Brazil, Telefonica Moviles Peru, and Centennial in the Dominican Republic.
