Vendor results - 02/06/06

Ciena reported FY2Q06 revenues of $131m, up 26%, and a net loss of $1.9m (up from $75m a year ago), ahead of analysts forecasts. The good results came from three major customers contributing more than 10% of revenues: ATT, Verizon and Ericsson. Each of them bought for more than $13m in the quarter. Ciena also reported higher than normal gross margin of 48% in the quarter.
