Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe and Pace Micro Technology have agreed to co-develop a combined WiMAX-enabled set-top box solution for pay-TV operators.

Immenstar is a start-up focused on the EPON market. They are introducing EPON chips in competition with the likes of Centullum, Passave, Teknovus, and have already got a multi-million order for a Japanese service provider (speculation it is for Softbank through UTStarcom).

Fujitsu targets the NA FTTP (fiber-to-the-premises) market with a GPON platform, called the FLASHWAVE 6100, combining GPON with Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing (CWDM) technologies.
