Four German mobile operators (T-Mobile , O2, Vodafone and E-Plus) have decided to join forces to promote mobile TV services, during the World Soccer Cup in June/ July. The monthly fee should be ranging from €5 to €15, depending on the number of channels selected.

CSL (Hong Kong) has launched a mobile TV service with 20 real-time channels, costing about 1cent/mn.

Telecom Italia will launch Unico, a fixed/ mobile telephone in July. Working at home as a cordless on Internet and outside as a GSM handset, it will provide unlimited calls to fixed and mobile numbers for €15 per month. Unico's first model will be a Samsung SGH P200. T.I should have secured Unico handset orders for €400m.

MTC () is acquiring 65% staki in Vmobile in for $1bn, through its unit CelTel Int.

MTS and Vimpelcom (both in ) have agreed with telecoms regulators on new tariffs, when CPP is applied in July.

's PT Excelcomindo Pratama would invest $500m in 2006 to expand its cellular business.

Virgin Mobile USA will allow free calls in return of viewing commercials and replying to questions.

Brazil should hold a public consultation for 3G licensing before September.
