The Managed Services Market
Where managed services can help? When an enterprise wants to improve its performance, align its processes with corporate objectives, reduce business risks and cut operating costs (all forming a common set of current enterprise targets), it has to face with new concerns: deploying new technologies vs budget constraints, requirement of new skills and competencies, new platforms, etc..
Managed services providers have the advantage to already have skills and competencies, be equipped and often have a similar experience, and can leverage their internal investments. For the enterprise, it should be faster and cheaper.
North America is the most advanced market with strong demand for both networking and security services, already penetrating large, and SMEs companies. The market there should grow to $87bn in 2011, from $47bn in 2005. CAGR should be 10% over the period.
In the rest of the world (ROW), the market is drawn by strong demand for managed security services, while networking services are taking off. The market should grow to $164bn in 2011, from $83 in 2005. CAGR should be about 13% over the period.
