Alcatel announced more R&D investments in China. Up to now R&D investments in China accounted for more than 10% of total company investments in China. R&D will mainly focus on cellular, broadband, 3G, NG networks and IP-based multimedia sub-systems.

ZTE targets raising $3.6bn in bonds and $2.9bn from bank loans for further overseas expansion. In the wave, it plans to establish a production, R&D and marketing presence in Scandinavia to stand closer from the European market.
