Viatel (UK) has launched Viatel Ethernet for carriers and ISPs.

 

Cegetel-Neuf Telecom (France): the merger could be announced soon.

 

CitéFibre (France) should launch by July a FTTH offer in Paris with rates up to 100 Mbit/s. Monthly fee should be around €70.

 

France Telecom is planning to add 100 more cities to its TVoDSL service. It claims current 100,000 users.

 

Easynet, UK, is offering an "entry-level" 512k broadband service for £10 per month.

 

Cegetel, in France, is offering an ADSL2+ service at 20 Mbit/s for €15. The service would cover 40% of the French public by the end of the year. Cegetel would also launch a digital TV decoder in 2H05. The triple-play service would cost €30 a month.

 

Telecom Italia plans to launch internet TV in June.

 

Atlas Interactive (India) is embarking on an aggressive triple-play broadband access rollout in India, in cooperation with BSNL. The move is backed by a $1bn vendor financing from ZTE, but should be complemented by an IPO on its main operating subsidiary, OneWorld Interactive. Atlas has a revenue-sharing agreement with BSNL.

 

NTT will offer IPTV service through its OnDemandTV JV with Itochu. 

 

T-Mobile UK introduced broadband WiFi connectivity on trains.

 

Colt (UK) is launching a Europe-wide (13 countries where it provides service) VOIP package, including local, national and international calls, for € 21 per month and per telephone.
