According to Infonetics, the worldwide total telecom and datacom equipment revenue totaled $108bn in 2005, and could grow to $143.5bn in 2009. Most of the growth should be driven by NG voice and broadband aggregation and IPTV equipment. NG voice and IMS market accounts today for 2% of the market, but would double to 4% in 2009. The IPTV market would report a huge CAGR of 99% over the period. Mobile equipment market would shift to 3G spending from 2006. Top five vendors are ranked: Cisco with 19% market share, Nortel, Huawei, Alcatel and Siemens.
