DT 1Q06 results

DT announced 1Q06 net profit rose 10% to €1.1bn, on sales up 4% to €14.8bn. The mobile unit was the growth driver again, outpacing declines in its traditional fixed-line business. According to this results, DT changed its sales forecast for T-Mobile and for T-Com. T-Mobile sales were raised by €1bn to about €32bn- 32.3bn, while T-Com sales were cut by €600m to €24.8-€25.2bn.

T-Mobile USA also reported its results. 1Q06 sales were up 17% to $4bn (+19% for services), with an OIBDA of $1.1bn (+33%) and a net income of $241m (+134%).

T-Mobile International' s customer base is now about 88m users worldwide.
