Internet users number reached 694m worldwide, or a global penetration of 14%, according to comScore Networks. The largest country with Internet users still is the US with some 152m users, or about 22% of the total, followed by China with 72m (10% of the total), Japan with 52m (7.5% of the total). Then come Germany (32m), UK (30m), Sth Korea (25m), France (24m), Canada (19m), Italy (17m) and India (17m).

50% of all Internet users are in five countries. The digital divide is not yet over.
