Vendor results - 22/04/06

Foundry Networks announced net income of $11.4m on revenues of $114m, compared with net income of $10m on revenues of $84.6m.

Avici Systems posted record quarterly revenues of $21.4m (of which 75%+ from AT&T) and a net loss of $5m.

Juniper reported a revenue warning as it will delay the recording of $25-35m in revenues from Verizon Communications. The stock was sent down about 5%. This adds to concerns about Lucent and Siemens OEM deals. For the 1Q06, Juniper reported an income of $76m on revenues of $567m, compared with an income of $75m and revenues of $449m.

Qualcomm posted a 11% increase in net profit to $593m, with revenues jumping 34% to $1.8bn on higher chip shipments.

Freescale reports 1Q06 net income of $212m on revenues of $1.5bn (+6%),

Zhone Technologies announced 1Q06 revenues of $53m, up 91%, and net loss of $3.9m (vs loss of $5.1m). EBITDA was $0.2m (vs loss of $1.7m)
