Mobile operator strategies - 12/04/06

Sprint Nextel plans to invest some $7bn this year to improve its network. Its 1X EV-DO Revision A upgrades will allow it to offer enhanced services by the first quarter of 2007.

BSNL (India) will invest some $3.6bn in the current fiscal year that began April 1 to expand its telecom network in India.
