Tellabs has signed an agreement with Occam, a supplier of Ethernet- and IP-based loop carrier equipment, and invested in the company. Tellabs will also manufacture and distribute Occam’ BLC (broadband loop carrier) system.

Juniper has bought Kagoor, a session border control (SBC) technology developer, for $ 68m. Session Border Controllers are an integral part of delivering security and assurance to VoIP and other rich media services.
