Ericsson will supply its Ethernet Broadband Access solution (DSLAM) to Colombian fixed operator Telebucaramanga.

Scientific Atlanta won a $195m order to supply SBC with IP video hub offices (SHO and VHO) and IP video operations center (VOC) for its Project Lightspeed network.

Nortel is providing a wireless mesh network under a SBC contract with the University of Arkansas. It is deploying separate NGN networks to China’s Fujian Power, Qingdao Power and the Haihe River Water Resources;

Wave7 Optics has completed a "single-fiber" FTTP network for the municipality of Taki-Cho (Japan).

World Wide Packets has provided its LightningEdge platform to the Kitsap Public Utility District (US).

Sycamore has delivered its Universal Service Card (USC) to NTT Com (Japan) to support Ethernet services.

Alcatel won a nationwide NGN order from China’s State Council Information Office (SCIO). It was selected by ETC (Ethiopia) to deploy an €14m-optical network. It is supplying Banco Central do Brasil with a Gigabit Ethernet network in Brasilia, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. It also signed a contract with Golden Telecom (Russia) to equip the new Swisshôtel in Moscow. In Austria, it is partnering with Telekom Austria for a triple play pilot project, using a FTTU platform. It has delivered and installed a new IN (intelligent network) based upon the A 8690 Open Service Platform (OSP) to Tiscali (Italy).

Siemens and Ericsson will share a 565,000-line new order from TOT (Thailand). (The precedent order attributed to Siemens was cancelled two months ago and a new tender was issued).

Analysts pre-announced that Tellabs won 100% of the NGN FTTC deployment with Bellsouth.

Laurel and Telindus are providing NTL (UK) with Laurel's ST200 and ST50 broadband routers and its Laurel Provisioning System (LPS), while Telindus will deliver and install the network.
