TOT (Thailand) and Chunghwa (Taiwan) are partnering to develop a 150-channel broadband Internet network in Chiangmai.

China Telecom and China Mobile signed a new strategic agreement to increase cooperation in development plans. They first decided to offer IPTV services despite existing policy barriers.

Three largest US MSOs (Comcast, Time Warner Cable and Charter) are trialing WiFi hotspot connections. Each one has its own strategy: Comcast is teaming with T-Mobile USA, TWI is building its own infrastructure and Charter is counting on a Wi-Fi wholesaler to deliver roaming coverage to its cable modem subscribers.
