HP has named Mark Hurd as its new CEO. He said his primary focus will be on execution and creating shareholder value. Mark Hurd is coming from NCR.

Nortel hired another Cisco guy to become its CTO. After enrolling Gary Daichendt, Nortel has named Gary Kunis as CTO, effective April 4.
