ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute) elected Dr Walter Weigel as its new Director General. Karl Heinz Rosenbrock, ex ETSI DG, will be lifetime Honorary Director General.

Juniper has hired three marketing vice presidents: Shailesh Shukla for Juniper's carrier and service provider marketing; Sam Ezekiel VP of marketing for managed services; and Steven Wastie becomes VP marketing for enterprise.
