Pasquale Pistorio, 69, STMicroelectronics’ CEO will leave his armchair. After years of success, he is retiring, and will be replaced by Carlo Bozotti, the STMicroelectronics US branch director.

CompTel/Alts CEO H. Russell Frisby left the company. Since November, no successor yet was found. Drew Walker, a retired veteran from ITC^DeltaCom, will serve as interim CEO.

SBC has recruited TV programming executives for its project Lightspeed. Amy Friedlander, Chris Lauricella, Richard Wellerstein, Richard Levine, Martin Sansing, and Denita Willoughby will join the team.
