Mobile operator strategies - 26/02/06

Bouygues Telecom (France) will launch on 1^st of March a national unlimited 8-12 pm call plan towards fixed and mobile operators. Another plan target youth with unlimited free SMS and MMS after 8pm.

Russia could join the Club of countries using Calling Party Pays (CPP) principle. A bill has been approved recently by the State Duma, seeking to ban telecom operators from charging receiving parties for incoming calls. To become law, the bill still must be approved by the lower house, and by the Federation Council before being signed into law by the president.

China Mobile launched location-based services in pilot areas in Beijing, Tianjin, Liaoning province, and Hubei province.
