China has 574m mobile users or a mobile penetration rate of 44%, and 361m fixed lines (loss of 4.4m lines in 1Q08).

America Movil ended March with 159m subscribers (+5.7m in 1Q08).

Vivo (Brazil) had 34.4m users (+18%) at the end of 1Q08.

India added 10.2m mobile users in March.

Indonesia: about 93m mobile subscribers at the end of 2007, with a mobile penetration rate of 37%.

Bangladesh: Grameenphone added 1.3m new subscribers in 1Q08, ending with about 18m.

S. Korea: 44.3m mobile users at the end of March. Leaders are SKT (22.4m), KT Freetel (14m) and LG Telecom (8m).

Zain (Middle East & Africa) reports 45.6m mobile users at the end of March.

Omantel currently has 29k broadband users plan to increase this number to 75k by year-end.

Telenor reports 147m worldwide mobile users at the end of March.
