Cisco reported FY2Q06 pro forma net income of $1.6bn (+10%) on revenues of $6.6bn (up 9%), just in line with expectations. Cisco , however, announced a more positive outlook for the next quarter with sales growing 10% to 12%, and gross margin at 67%. Cisco share gained 5.7% in the after market to $19.1. For FY IH06, revenues were $13.2bn (up 10%) and net income was $3.2bn (up 10%). Cash flows from operations were $1.9bn in the quarter
Alvarion posted 4Q05 sales of $46m (-17%); a gross margin of 45%, and a net loss of $5m. 2005 revenues were $196m (down 3%) and 2005 net loss was down to ($13.6)m. Alvarion claims a 30% market share in the broadband wireless market.
AsiaInfo (China) released its 4Q05 revenues of $16.5m (down 20%) with a lower gross margin of 26% (vs 39%). Software revenues declined 17%, and service revenues dropped 24%. The shortfall in revenue is the result of significantly lower than expected shipment volume for the Lenovo-AsiaInfo business unit's security products.
ADVA (Germany) reports full year revenues of €131m (+29%) and operating income of €14m (+11%).
UTStarcom unveiled 4Q05 results of $686m in revenues (up 8.5%), including $221m in PAS products (terminals and infra). UTStarcom reported a loss of 60 cents per share in the quarter.
