Amdocs reported FY1Q06 net income of $75m, up 8,4%, while sales grew 25%. Amdocs expects FY2Q06 revenues to be about $600m.

Motorola reports excellent quarter, while revenues are slightly short of Wall Street' s revenue predictions. Profit jumped 83% to $1.2bn and revenues grew 18% to $10.4bn. Results were fueled by strong sales of its handsets ($6,5bn in the quarter). For the full year, Motorola reports sales of $36.8bn (up 17,5%) and earnings doubled to $1,8 per share. Motorola shipped 146m handsets (+40%) in 2005 and claims a 19% market share.

Scientific Atlanta probably announced its last earnings (being bought by Cisco) with weaker than expected results. Its FY2Q06 net income was $53m (down 9%) on revenues of $495m (up 12%).

Gemplus issued a profit warning, due to problems with smartcard shipment, and also cut its forecast on operating margin for the year to 7% from 8%.

Harmonic announced 4Q05 sales of $64m (down 26%) and full year sales at $257m (+4%), of which 40% overseas sales. 4Q05 net loss was $ 2m, while full year loss amounted to $6m.
