Apple has registered the trademark “Mobile me”. It is its first inroads in the mobile market and this gives consistence to rumors of Apple entering the mobile phone market with a iPod-based smart phone.

Cisco announced it will sell mobile phones, hi-fi devices and entertainment home theaters. Cisco went to the conclusion that new demand for internet and broadband networks and good relationship with internet leaders Google and Yahoo, should be competitive advantages over consumer products makers. Cisco has already about $1bn sales in consumer products from Linksys, and it recently bought Scientific Atlanta and Kiss , two home appliance makers.

IBM could buy Satyam Computer Services, India's fourth-largest software services company.
