Direct access!
Motorola and Nokia phones will be quipped to access directly Google and/ or Yahoo! own mobile services through their respective icons and one-click access. Under the Motorola-Google deal, the first Motorola phones with Google icons will be available this quarter. Yahoo! also said it has signed a worldwide deal to pre-install e-mail, instant messaging, address book and scheduling applications on millions of new Motorola mobile phones, including the hot new Razr. Yahoo! signed a similar deal with Nokia. Initially, the service will come pre-installed only on Nokia Series 60 smartphones. Yahoo will offer search of course, but also Yahoo! Go Mobile, Yahoo! Go TV and Yahoo! Go Desktop, offering a broad range of multimedia services including, texting, messaging, photos, address book, news, finance and video TV.

Motorola also signed a deal with Kodak to make it easier for users to print, view and share photographs taken on camera phones. Another vendor has also signed similar agreements. Google Talk ( instant messaging) and Google Local (locate shops, read maps or images, find its way, ..) will be easily accessible on Blackberry terminals from RIM.

Google / Yahoo strategy is clear: diversify into the mobile market. And the best way is to make access free and easy, directly from mobile handsets. It is also a way to increase customer loyalty in keeping it tight.
