Five Hardware Trends in 2006

PriceWaterHouse made some predictions for 2006 on the hardware side:

-  the optical market could regain health in 2006, thanks to increased capex;
-  The evolution of the mobile handset into a multifunction terminal will continue;
-  Cellular/IP mobile hybrid phones should take off;
-  Improved batteries
-  Voice-over-everything is about to take off, while plain old telephone service (POTS) will    continue its great fadeout.
