UTStarcom and China Putian signed partnership in 3G business. UTStarcom has recently slashed 50% of its 3G department (mainly on WCDMA), while the rest staff (about 300p) was divided into two teams - one and majority turned to the TD-SCDMA sector, and another small group on CDMA 2000.
