Mobile phone sales grew 15% in Q3

According to Gartner, mobile phone sales increased 15% to 289m units in 3Q07. Nokia sold 110m units for a 38% market share, and in spite of declining ASP by 9%, increased operating margins. Samsung follows with almost 42m units and a market share of 14.5%. Motorola is third with almost 13% share and over 37m units shipped. Sony shipped about 25.5m units for a 9%- market share. LG sold 20.5m units for a 7.1% market share.
