Alcatel has demonstrated IPTV BSS/OSS platform with end-to-end IPTV real time business service assurance. The solution is the first output from the strategic collaboration with Micromuse. Alcatel has been honored for 'Best New Product' award for its 1850 Transport Service Switch (TSS) by Light Reading. It is believed also to develop a new high-throughput "mini POP” version of the 7450 and for that build a new team. The new product is expected to be unveiled during the first quarter of 2006.

Airspan is to join the Wi-FI alliance.

Cisco has delivered its new hardware release 5.1 for its Cisco ONS 15454 and ONS 15600 optical networking platforms.
