Nokia sold 23m mobile phones (+77%) in China in first nine months. It unveils three new 3G mobile phones: Nokia 6282, 6233 and 6234.

Motorola is believed to be in talks with Chinese TCL, and could completely take over TCL's handset business unit.

Samsung expects to increase to 15% its 2006 handsets sales in LATAM (10m units in 2005 expected). Samsung claims it holds a 12,5% market share in LATAM.

Ericsson and Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) are trialling the world's first live trial of interactive mobile TV.
