Global mobile phone market

Nokia foresees the global mobile phone market to reach 780m units in 2005, while IDC sees shipments to reach 208m units, up 19%. Nokia shipped 66.6m units in 3Q05 (32% market share); Motorola shipped 38.7m units giving an 18.6% market share; Samsung' s share fell to 12.9% and LG share was 7.4%.
