Vimpelcom (Russia) had 38.6m mobile subscribers (or 27% market share).
France: 50m mobile subscribers, of which 5.7m are 3G.
APAC: according to the CDMA Development Group (CDG), CDMA 2000 claims 161 million 3G subscribers (2.75 and 3G subscribers) in the region. 39M CDMA EV-DO subscribers (pure 3G) are expected by the end of the year.
India: the total telecom subscriber base grew by over 46% to 206m at the end of March, of which 165m mobile (of which 33m are rural customers) and 41m fixed, or of which almost 46m are rural customers. The Internet subscriber base grew to 9.3m and there were over 31m Internet subscribers surfing the web using their mobile phones. There were 2.3m broadband customers.
Bharti Airtel (India) added 1.96m mobile users in June to 42.7m. Vodafone Essar added 1.5m new users to 30.8m; BSNL reached 28.4m users. Idea Cellular had 16.1m subscribers.
Spain had over 48m mobile subscribers at the end of May.
Iran has 23m fixed line subscribers and 19m mobile users (of which almost 18m for its state-owned operator).
Japan: Softbank gained almost 205k new mobile users in June, ahead of KDDI with 133k and DoCoMo with 89k. Softbank had 16/4m subscribers, while DoCoMo had 52.8m mobile users and KDDI had 28.7m.
Indonesia: PT Telkom now has 47.3m mobile customers.
KTF (S. Korea) announced 1m 3G/ HSDPA subscribers
Uruguay: Movistar ended March with 875K mobile subscribers, while CTI Movil expects to end 2007 with 900K subscribers.
Ireland reached the milestone of 600k broadband connections at the end of March.
Russia' subscriber base rose to over 160m in June.
