NEC has been selected by Hutchison to deploy an i-mode network in Hong Kong.

ALU will deploy a GSM network to Telecom NZ for about $250m, and supply China Mobile Pakistan (CMPak) with a GSM network in northern Pakistan.

Ericsson will supply WCDMA/HSDPA radio access network equipment to Vodafone Spain and managed services for Vodafone Netherlands. It also has been selected by China Mobile Pakistan (CMPak) for expanding its GSM network in southern Pakistan.

NSN has won a contract with Aircel (India) to build a greenfield GSM network in Kolkata.

Huawei will supply a Convergent Billing Solution (CBS) to Telfort (NL). It received a $250m contract from Global Vision Telecoms and Prestel (Nigeria) for a CDMA 1x & EV-DO network roll out.

ZTE won a contract from United Telecom of Georgia to build a commercial CDMA network.
