MobiFone (Vietnam) is planning an IPO in early 2008.

Warid Telecom has launched commercial mobile services in Bangladesh, covering 70% of the population.

ROK has announced the first VOD mobile TV service over a GPRS network. ROK TV is currently being deployed to 30 selected mobile operators worldwide.

MiPhone (Jamaica) plans to roll out CDMA 2000 EV-DO services in August this year.

Hutchison Essar and DoCoMo will not proceed with the contract signed late 2006 to roll out iMode mobile internet service in India.

Reliance (India) said it has sold 1m low-cost handsets (around $20) in one week.
