A few set of market information released this week:

  • According to In-Stat, VOIP is driving cable telephony services and subscriber growth. Worldwide there were 22m VOIP subscribers in 2006, generating almost $8bn in revenues.

  • In-Stat said 3G is available in almost every major country of the world, and in many areas, multiple carriers are offering it. So, the deployment of new 3G networks would slow.

  • According to Unstrung, European operators have launched several WiMAX RFPs. So the WiMAX market is heating up. Germany, the UK and France re at the forefront.
