Many analysts believe THE solution for Vonage is to sell to Sprint Nextel. Whatever happens in the Verizon- Vonage case (Vonage was ordered to pay $66m to Verizon and barred from recruiting new customers), Vonage has entered in a survival status, and sooner or later be forced to put itself on the market. The present value of the company is about $360m and Vonage currently has 2.4m subscribers. For Sprint Nextel, buying a customer at $150 is very cheap (anything at $250 per sub or less is considered a bargain). In addition, the sale to Sprint Nextel should be a smart way to solve a pending Sprint' s patent lawsuit against Vonage. Both are talking to find a business arrangement.
