Taiwanese mobile handsets manufacturers have shipped 122m units in 2006.

Huawei said that it has been awarded a 3G project from Telecom Italia. It has also grab a GSM-R order from Algeria Societe Nationale des Transports Ferroviaires (SNTF) for the 220 kilometer-long Tabia-Mecheria railway line.
