Turkcell spoke strategy at 3GSM

With 60% market share in Turkey and a solid mobile user base fo almost 32m, Turkcell needs to expand at home first with a move into the fixed broadband space, where competition is not sharp (a single provider: Turk Telecom), but also with building quality infrastructure, including future 3G network, focus on customer segmentation and high value content deliveries. The second point should be to go abroad again. Turkcell is already in operation in 6 CIS countries, Ukraine and North Cyprus through Teliasonera, and additional moves into CIS countries or Eastern Europe are not rolled out. Turkcell plans to invest $480m in capex in 2007, up 20%.
