Alcatel-Lucent has won an order from Mostelecom (cable operator in Russia) to deploy an IP network. It will also deploy an IP-based broadband access network for Elion Enterprise, the largest telco in Estonia.

UTStarcom will provide MTNL (India) with the first Indian IPTV solution.

Cisco has been awarded its first IPTV deal with National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC). It is jointly working with SES Americom for video transport via satellite.

Alvarion has been selected by Chunghwa Telecom to deploy WiMAX products.

Nexans has been awarded a € 140m contract for a submarine cable contract in China.
