Flag NGN

Reliance/ Flag Telecom (India) will invest $1.5bn over the next three years in a new 50,000km fiber cable Flag NGN. Reliance describes it as "the world's largest IP network over submarine cable systems". In fine, the network will span over 115,000km and join 60 countries. Flag NGN will be made of four systems:

• S1 in Asia joining - India, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Brunei, Hong Kong

• S2 in Africa joining - Kenya, Mozambique, Republic of South Africa, Tanzania, Madagascar, Mauritius;

• S3 in Mediterranee joining - Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, Malta, Libya, Lebanon;

• S4 in Trans-Pacific joining USA, Japan, China and Hong Kong.
