O2 Germany is planning to enter the DSL market, offering converged mobile, DSL landline and internet services.

Telkom Kenia could become a mobile operator, when a full operating concession to cover wireline, wireless and data services is granted to it. Telkom 's mobile unit is currently managed by Vodafone (40% stake). Telkom and Econet could join two current mobile operators Safaricom and Celtel.

Telkom Indonesia plans to invest $1.9bn next year in its mobile business to serve more subscribers.

Vivo (Brazil) expects to complete its GSM overlay national coverage by 1H07.

Rogers Wireless (Canada) has launched a HSDPA network, representing Phase I of its HSDPA plans.
