The Australian government has sold 1.1bn Telstra shares for about $3.4bn, of which $330m to Japanese retail investors.

The US TIA (Telecommunications Industry Association) has adopted DVB-H as an official standard for mobile digital TV in the US.

FT has bought a 51% stake in Neocles Corporate, an IT service company, for €5.5m. Neocles Corporate specializes in secure infrastructure solutions.
