Orange UK has been ranked the best network for customer satisfaction amongst U.K. Mobile operators. It will launch Orange TV over its 3G network to enable the mobile users to view TV on their handsets.

Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) has launched mobile services in Saudi Arabia.

T-Mobile introduced a second EDGE-capable handset, the Motorola Inc. V330.

Orascom Telecom (Egypt) is selling its 65% stake in Congo Brazzaville's GSM Libertis, and its 100% stake in Democratic Republic of Congo's Oasis Telecom. The global value of the deals is $130m.

Millicom is managing a new GSM network in Iran. The network is owned by the Rafsanjan Industrial Complex under a BOT (build, operate and transfer) contract between RIC and Telecommunications Company of Iran.

Enel (Italy) agreed to sell its telecom operator Wind to the Orascom CEO-led Weather Investments consortium. Wind and Orascom could join forces.
