EU approved the DT-OTE deal.

The EU Commission is targeting deploying high-speed broadband and next-generation networks (NGN's) in EU and supports Web 3.0, the future intelligent web.

BTRC (Bangladesh regulator) will sell spectrum to the three mobile operators (AKTEL, Grameen and Banglalink) for about $200m in total.

Bulgaria will re-auction its fourth GSM license early next year. The Bulgarian anti-trust agency, CPC, approves the merger of Bulgaria's two largest cable operators: CableTel and Eurocom Cable.

BT asks clear rules and a long-term plan before participating into Italy's new broadband network, after the local regulator AGCOM said Telecom Italia hasn't enough cash flow to invest in NGN.
