Celtel Kenya has named Rene Meza as its CEO.

Jon Eddy Abdullah has been hired as Telenor Pakistan CEO.

CEO Hector Ruiz will quit AMD.

Sony Ericsson plans 2000 job cuts.

Bell Canada cuts 2500 management jobs (15% of management).

Four names circulate for the ALU' s CEO position: Ben Verwaayen (ex-BT), Philippe Germond (ex-Alcatel), Mike Quigley (ex-Alcatel) and Thierry Breton (ex FT).

Sanjay Jha is the new CEO and head of Motorola' s mobile-devices business. Motorola reorganizes its home and networks mobility business: it will include three businesses: broadband home solutions, broadband access solutions and cellular networks.

Bharti Enterprises has revamped its management with Akhil Gupta, ex Bharti Airtel, as deputy Group CEO and managing director of Bharti Enterprises. He will also remain on Airtel' s board and become vice chairman and managing director of Bharti Infratel.

ADC announces non-executive Chairman John A. Blanchard III will retire from the ADC Board. Robert E. Switz , current CEO, has been appointed as Chairman of the Board effective Aug. 1, 2008.

Phil Burgess, senior executive in Telstra, is leaving the company.

Esko Aho, ex Finland's Prime Minister, is becoming a member of the Nokia Group Executive Board .

Chunghwa Telecom: the new president is Shaio-Tung Chang and the new Chairman is Lu Shyue-Ching replacing Ho Chen Tan.
