TeleAtlas has signed a 5-year agreement with Google to provide it with with maps and content in over 200 countries.

Ericsson is providing HSxPA modules in Toshiba laptops. It will deliver remote GSM base station RBS 2111 and microwave systems to Digicel in Suriname, and signed a deal with Cable & Wireless Jamaica for mobile softswitch and packet backbone network solutions.

Harris signed a deal with Albavision for its mobile DTV system in Costa Rica and Guatemala.

Huawei is deploying a WiMAX network for Mobilink (Pakistan).

Nokia has won Telenor as a new customer for its OVI service.

ALU will supply PT Excelcomindo (Indonesia) with a carrier Ethernet solution, and deploy an IP/MPLS network for Halyk Bank in Kazakhstan. It will help Neuf Cegetel (France) to extend FTTH infrastructure in Paris. It will also help Telekom Malaysia and and Subang Jaya Municipality Council to provide free internet access. ALU will expand Fiberail (Malaysia) fiber optic existing network. Telecom NZ has selected ALU to deploy its new Internet Protocol-based network. The French-American company expects winning two major Indian deals each worth up to $500m.

ALU, ZTE and Huawei will deploy a mobile network in India for Systema (Russia).

Proxim is deploying a WiMAX infrastructure for Televersa Online in Bavaria, Germany.

HTC will provide its "Touch Dual" phone to SK Telecom in S. Korea.

ZTE is developing Ethiopia's nationwide network.

Nortel will deploy 40G technology for US terrestrial optical links of Southern Cross (submarine network between the USA and Australia, New Zealand and Fiji).

Opera Software has signed a deal with Swisscom to deploy its mobile browser Opera Mini.

NSN has won a contract from Spain’s rail administration ADIF for supplying GSM-R solution on the future high speed line between Madrid and Valencia.
