It has reported steady growth in 1Q08 results, with revenues growing 6% to $30.7bn, operating income up 28% to $6bn and net income up 22%to $3.5bn. Capex increased 27% to $4.2bn, but free cash flow dropped 46% to $0.7bn. Mobile business accounted for 38.5% of the total and is up 18% to $11.8bn; its operating income reached $3bn. ATT Mobility had 71.4m customers at the end of the quarter (+1.3m). ARPU grew 2% to $50. Data revenues grew by 57% to $2.3bn, accounting now for 22% (+5pp) of services revenues. The wireline segment reported a 2% drop in revenues to $17.6bn. The operating profit also fell 2% to $2.8bn. ATT lost almost 2m primary fixed line users and 3.9m secondary lines in the quarter. ATT had 14.6m broadband users (+491k in the quarter), but growth is slowing as net additions were down by 29%.
