KDDI (Japan) lowered its annual operating profit by over 3% to $3.9bn, due to higher than expected customer gain costs in a saturated market.

Digitel (Philippines) reports higher (+48%) 2007 revenues to $403m.

FON raises almost $10m in a new funding round.

Cell C (S. Africa) reports first ever profit. 2007 EBITDA reached about $125m (+230%) and the operating profit was $41m (vs a loss of $45m last year).

Mobistar (Belgium) said its 1Q08 sales amounted to €362m, down 3%.

MTS (Russia) announced 4Q07 OIBDA of $1.1bn, up 20%, on revenues of $2.4bn, up 29%. For the year, it reported revenues of $8.2bn (+29%) and a net income of $2.1bn (+100%).

Megafon (Russia) reported 2007 net income of $1.4bn, up 70%, on revenues of $5.7bn, up 53%.

China Telecom would report an increase of 2.7% in 1Q08 net profit to $1bn, on revenues of $6.3bn (+1.3%), according to Credit Suisse.


LG S. Korea) announced 1Q08 results with a net profit after a loss last year, but lower than expected by a street consensus. It earned $427m on sales of $7bn, up 15%. It sold 24.4m handsets in the first quarter, and targets 100m units shipped in the year. Handset sales reached $3.2bn (+36%).

RBC Capital has lowered by 20% its price target on Motorola to $10, cut revenues by 3.5% to $8bn, and quadrupled loss to 4 cents.
